UGA Women’s Basketball Coach Gets 850th Win

ATHENS, GA- Women’s Basketball Coach Andy Landers just got his 850th career win at the University of Georgia this weekend. He is now part of a very short list of coaches who have done so.  Landers is one of seven coaches to win 850 victories at a single division one school. He won this record setting game against his alma mater, Tennessee Tech. The Lady Dawgs beat Tennessee Tech 74-51 on Saturday.

However, for Landers, the game had more on the line than the win, he was coaching against one of his best friends, Head Coach Jim Davis.

Landers has 932 career wins, leading the Lady Bulldogs to a 7-0 record thus far. Up next, the Lady Bulldogs play Coppin State tomorrow at 7 pm in Athens.
