Free waffles, hash browns, and coffee… no wonder there’s a line!

Yep…. For Free.  This morning the Clayton Street Waffle House is serving up some of their best food…for the best price…free.

It’s all thanks to something called the “Waffle House Wager.” The wager was set on the UGA vs Auburn game. The deal was that if the Bulldawgs won the game, this Waffle House would reward it’s loyal Dawg fans with free food. Additionally, thanks to the win, Waffle House made a $15,000 donation to UGA’s general scholarship fund.

2,000 Waffles… 2,000 hungry customers…

Long lines started appearing at 6:30 in the morning.  WaHo staff prepped more than 87 batches of waffle batter. But if waffles don’t sit well for you, maybe free hash browns and free coffee will help fill you up.

1,500 free waffles…

This is the second year for the Waffle House Wager. Last year, Waffle House made the wager on the Texas A&M vs Alabama game. Thanks to a big win by the Crimson Tide, Alabama fans were treated to the free breakfast.

Over 87 batches of waffle batter were prepped for today.
