Athens, GA — A Tornado Watch is in effect until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night in Athens-Clarke County and surrounding counties. The rest of the day is expected to be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. A slight chance of showers is expected after midnight, with sun tomorrow.
The National Weather Service issues a Tornado Watch when conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes in and close to the watch area.
