SGA Fights to Stop Sexual Violence on Campus

Athens, GA –  The UGA Student Government Association is taking on a national fight to stop sexual violence on college campuses. The SGA Senate passed a resolution to become part of the White House’s “It’s On Us” campaign and hopes to reduce the number of rapes on campus. Reporter Russel Abad asked the SGA president how he plans to do this.

In the end, the resolution was voted down, but the hope to work. The primary message of the ‘What If’ video is that everyone must be engaged in the fight to end sexual violence on our campus.I remain committed to fighting for survivors and ensuring the university does more to stop sexual assault.
