Liquor Referendum passed in Oconee County

64.38% voted yes to pass the liquor referendum in Oconee County. Restaurants like Chops&Hops in Watkinsville can now serve distilled liquor Monday through Saturdays to their customers. The Oconee County Administrator, Jeff Benko says that although many churches and religious groups were against the referendum, he was happy that it was able to pass with a majority vote.
