JAIL_INMATE_THOMAS_JERRY_LEAN_FRONT.jpgHULL —The man that was accused of a hit-and-run in Madison County is charged with a hit-and-run and first-degree vehicular manslaughter, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Police charged Jerry Lean Thomas after the Georgia State Patrol impounded and investigated the 47-year-old Hull resident’s damaged van.

Thomas is in jail without bond after a drunk driving charge on Sunday.

The hit-and-run killed 52-year-old Morris Rawlings who was found on the side of Highway 29 in Madison County.
