Lunch Bites: Roundup of the News Over Lunch

Get together with your lunch bunch and munch on Lunch Bites:

When you’re walking to your table and drop your tray, you need a second chance.

That’s what National Reentry Week is all about. This week the United States Department of Justice is hosting National Reentry Week that encourages previously incarcerated individuals to return back to the work force in normal life. Reporter SK Bowen reaches out to a perviously incarcerated man to talk about the barriers of getting a job after time in jail at 5 PM.

When more people show up at your table than you expected:

Yeah, we’re going to need to expand; so does the Athen Clarke County Jail. The Jail is in Phase II of a $6.5 million dollar Jail Expansion Project. Reporter Jared Sweat will have the full story on the four contracts it took to make this possible at 5 PM.

Rock, paper, scissoring for the last cookie. No we can’t split..

It’s winner takes all. Donald Trump took all five states in the Republican Primary last night. Trump won 109 delegates in total. Ninety-nine of those delegates were from the winner take all states of: Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Rhode Island split their delegates: 10 for Trump, 5 for Kasich, and 3 for Cruz.

However, the Democratic Primary lets the candidates go ‘split’sies. Hillary Clinton won the states of Connecticuit, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Clinton took a total of 206 delegates. Bernie Sanders won Rhode Island and came out of yesterday winning 146 delegates.

Hmm.. I think I need seconds.

So does Synjyn Days, but not lunch this time. Days is entering the NFL draft for the second time. Days is an Atlanta football product who is entering tomorrow’s NFL DraftReporter Kaitlin Long caught up with Days and will have the inside scoop on his journey at 5 PM.

And I thought the slice of cake at lunch was enough for their birthday.

Nope. Jenna Dewan Tatum got her husband Channing Tatum a horse for his birthday. Cue every little girl who has asked for a pony turning green with jealousy. Tatum posted last night on his Instagram a video of him riding his new horse and a picture of his new friend.
