Several Grady students completed their capstone requirement through a class on “Money in the News,” which included a unit on reporting and writing personal finance stories. The students’ articles were published through the College Connect program operated by the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW).

Each student received $100 for their published article thanks to financial support from the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE).

Jeanne Davis’ article was selected by SABEW as the top submission. This was Grady’s third year in the College Connect program, which also includes students from the University of Missouri and Arizona State University.
