Atlanta Braves fire general manager

Atlanta, GA – The Atlanta Braves named John Hart as the interim manager. Hart was a former general manager for the Cleveland Indians as well as the Texas Rangers, but made it known that he will not take on a full-time position with the Braves.

The interim manager announcement comes after news that the team relieved former general manager Frank Wren from his position. The Braves posted a disappointing season record of 76 wins and 79 losses, failing to win a division or wild-card spot for this season.
