Case of Measles in Georgia

There have been cases of measles in Georgia this year. Reporter Cara Lynn Clarkson spoke with Ashley Hannings of the UGA College Pharmacy. Hannings says it is important to get your kids vaccinated. Here are some characteristics of Measles:

Screen Shot 2015-02-09 at 3.29.38 PMAccording to a study done in 2013, the percent of 24 month-old children in the 10-county area surrounding Athens found to be fully immunized by 24 months is 92.2%, with the percent of two year-olds reported to be fully immunized by the end of the data collection period increasing to 97.7%. Cara Lynn Clarkson will have more about how to keep yourself safe from measles at 5pm.
