Geography Awareness Week

By Sammy O’Brien

Athens Clarke County recognizes National Geography Awareness Week, taking place from Sunday, Nov. 15 until Saturday, Nov. 21., and has activities planned for the week.

ACC Stormwater is encouraging citizens to go to the Geocache trail, Water Logged. Stormwater wants people to see the infrastructure and learn how to reduce pollution. If enough buttons are collected, prizes will be awarded by ACC Stormwater.

On Saturday, Nov. 21, ACC Stormwater is hosting the From Street to Stream Scavenger Hunt in Trail Creek Park. The hunt will be educational in honor of National Geography Awareness Week.
