Jackson County’s Answer To Growth? More Schools, Fast

Jackson County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States.

This rapid influx of people has created a large demand and simultaneous struggle for supplies to keep up. The demand is consistently rising for quality education.

The county is working to meet this demand by constructing three new schools for all age groups. The schools are being funded through E-SPLOST dollars which has already been used to build two schools in previous years.

There is growth here, and it is exponential; it just seems like at any moment there will be new schools, there will need to be…,” said Jackson County resident Maryn Whitmore.
