Pink Week Raises Money for Breast Cancer Awareness

By Abby Jessen

One UGA sorority estimates that it raised more than $12,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Zeta Tau Alpha ended its annual Pink Week on Oct. 11 with its Paint the Town Pink 5k. The 5k followed Tate Plaza awareness days and percentage nights at Smoothie King and Cheeky Peach.

Money generated from these events will go directly to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation, which benefits breast cancer education and awareness.
