UGA Alumnus Performs with Beyonce

Jacques Bell shares his excitement about performing with Beyonce on his Instagram page.

Jacques Bell is a University of Georgia alumnus from the Class of 2005, who performed feet away from Beyonce.

Beyonce performed for an hour and forty-five minutes Saturday at Coachella, a music festival in Indio, California. Her stunning performance caught the eye of many people, but there’s more to the performance other than Mrs. Knowles.

Drumline Live, an international tour group based on the Historically Black College and University marching band tradition, performed on stage with Beyonce for her performance.

Drumline Live CEO/Director, Don Roberts, stated on his Facebook page that their performers included alumni from FAMU, Tennessee State, Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Prairie View, Hampton, North Carolina A&T, Norfolk State, Bethune Cookman, University of Georgia, Kennesaw State and more.

Bell reflects on this experience by saying, “Performing next to Beyonce is a blessing, an honor, and a total dream come true. As a performer, it doesn’t get any higher. She is a living legend with unparalleled vision and work ethic. I am still in awe of this experience.”

Bell will be performing again with Drumline Live and Beyonce for the second show this Saturday, at Coachella.
