Woman Held at Gunpoint on Herman Street

ATHENS, GA – Last night a 21-year-old woman was held at gunpoint on Herman Street. They demanded the woman give them money and when she told them she didn’t have any money, they struck her in the head with a gun. Police arrived and treated the woman, and the robbers got away on foot. No arrests have been made.

The robbers were described as being black males, possibly teenagers. One suspect is 5-foot-8 with an afro and “skinny eyes” and the other suspect is 6-feet tall. Reporter Brian Garcia will have more information as it comes.

If you have any information, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department says if you see suspicious people, to call 911 and be as descriptive as you can.

Major Mark Sizemore of the Athens Clarke County Police Department (ACCPD) gives some tips on how to stay safe while these men are still on the loose.
