Veterans Shop Around at ‘Veteran Benefits Day’

By Jordynn Abernathy

Today Veterans were treated with a personal “supermarket” to shop around for their benefits. The Classic Center hosted agencies all over Georgia to provide veterans with a chance to learn more about their benefits. A few of the many agencies included: U.S Department of Veteran Services, the Social Security Administration, TRICARE, and Georgia Drivers Department Services. They are also providing free medical screenings and seasonal slu shots. The state of Georgia continues to offer free assistance to veterans through the Georgia Department of Veteran Services to help advise, counsel and assist veterans to be sure they recieve the benefits they deserve.
