WEEKEND OUTLOOK: AthHalf Marathon and road closures

Athens, GA — The Athens Half Marathon is only three participants away from reaching full capacity.

Over 2,800 runners will hit the streets of Downtown Athens to take part it the 5th Annual Athens Half Marathon this Sunday.  In conjunction with the run, there will also be a Health and Fitness Expo this Saturday at the Classic Center.  Dozens of Vendors will be selling discounted merchandise, giving deomstrations, and offering free samples of products.  The expo is free and open to all.

There will be a number of street closures during the race which are listed below.

Thomas St. from Clayton to Washington

Washington St. from Thomas to Pulaski

Pulaski from Hancock to Prince

Prince from Pulaski to Cobb

Cobb from Prince to King

King from Cobb to Hillcrest

Hillcrest from King to Hill

Hill from Hillcrest to Milledge

Milledge from Cobb to Lumpkin

Lumpkin from Milledge to Gran Ellen

Gran Ellen through Zoo to S. Milledge

S. Milledge from Gran Ellen to Riverbend

Riverbend from S. Milledge to College Station

College Station from Riverbend to River Road

River Road from College Station E. Campus

E. Campus from River Rd to Carlton

Carlton from E. Campus to Agriculture

Agriculture to E. Rutherford through parking lot

E. Rutherford to Smith (around Coliseum) to Sanford Drive

Sanford to Hooper to East Campus Road

East Campus to Baldwin
