Winder police upgraded the charges against Frankie Lee Carter, 59, to felony murder after Delores Holder, 50, died of head injuries.
Authorities say Holder was found Friday night in the area of Elm Street near Graham Street. Police found her unconscious and bleeding from a head wound.  Holder died of her injuries sometime late Saturday or early Sunday morning.
Carter was arrested Saturday morning after police gathered information that led to the original charge of aggravated assault. Police say that Carter and Holder appeared to know one another.
