Domestic Violence Awareness Month: What Groups at UGA are Doing to Help

The Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention organization, RSVP, wants to make sure students at the University of Georgia know the boundaries when it comes to dating and intimacy.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence put out these statistics about Georgia:

RSVP had a kickoff event today to help students recognize the warning signs of an unhealthy relationship and will be holding multiple events throughout the month to raise awareness and prevent domestic and relationship violence.

Here is RSVP’s list of events:

Monday, October 8th: One Love Escalation Training in Journalism 516 at 6 PM

Monday, October 15th: WatchDawgs Bystander Intervention Training also in Journalism 516 at 6 PM
Tuesday, October 16th: Percentage night at Ben & Jerry’s from 6-8 PM benefitting Project Safe
Monday, October 29th: “Your Boo Shouldn’t Scare You” scary movie night and discussion from 6-8 PM in MLC 275
