If you want to test out the new voting machines Georgians will use in the upcoming elections, many counties have set up demonstration stations for voters.
Chris Harvey, elections division director for the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, demonstrated how to use the new voting machines at a meeting of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters at the University of Georgia. This will be the new technology for the upcoming presidential primary election on March 24.
If you live in Northeast Georgia, see the list below for where you can check out the new machines:
Barrow County
The machine is not set up yet, but you can ask the election officer to set it up.
Athens-Clarke County
Wednesday, Feb. 5 at St. Mary’s Hospital from 10 a.m. to noon
Thursday, Feb. 6 at 780 Timothy Road from 3-5 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 17 at Cine theater and during office hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the election office
Jackson County
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the election office
Madison County
A demo is ready from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the election office.
Oconee County
10 Court St. and Greensboro Highway in Watkinsville on Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
