His Name is D’Andre Walker. He is being recruited for the University of Georgia class of 2015 recruitment season. D’Andre and a few other recruits received a special type of recruitment letter in the mail from head football Coach Mark Richt. An employee of UGA’s recruitment office Lisa Rader, sketched out a different plan to get players to put on red and black. Screen Shot 2014-04-03 at 6.14.33 PM

Drawings like this went out to multiple recruits and those potential dawgs, like D’Andre (@LuxuryLife1K) have taken to twitter to show their excitement about the drawings.

Today Reporter, Haleigh Hoffman spoke with D’Andre via Skype. D’Andre took a few minutes in-between his high school classes to talk about what drawing meant to him.

D’Andre told Newsource the drawing was shocking to recieve and his family said it was wonderful.

D’andre is one of several players that have been getting these special invitations. We know they are still on the fence, but hopefully this drawing brings them between the hedges.

Update: Upon speaking with other players who received drawings Newsource learned they were equally excited.

Linebacker Roquan Smith seemed excited about getting something so different in the mail, he told us he was honored to receive something like this from Coach Richt.

He said “Knowing I’m one of UGA top targets and it was mind blowing but very creative and shows that they want me and that I’m a priority. ”

That creativity also made its way to Rashad Roundtree, Safety from Evans, Georgia. Roundtree is considered to be a top prospect for Georgia.

He is currently being recruited by some of the top school is the SEC as well as Georgia’s rival Georgia Tech.

However, Roundtree said this “was really cool” he said the personalized drawing was the “best mail [he’s] gotten.” He tweeted saying, the drawing really “makes an impact” on his decision.  Roundtree seemed so happy about the mail he made the drawing his featured picture on twitter.

Recruits are still deciding what team they will be playing for, but its looking as if this simple gesture made by coach Richt and his team just might win them over.
