UGA Organization Spreads the Word about Pollen with Beer

Athens, GA- Without bees, beer would not exist.

Terrapin Events Coordinator Jessica Merritt says, “If bees weren’t out pollinating, not only would we not have fruits and vegetables, we wouldn’t have key ingredients for our brews.”

Thats the idea behind Pollination Celebration, put on by UGA Bug Dawgs at Terrapin Beer Company (http://terrapinbeer.com/). Bees and bee-related arts and crafts will be on display. The goal is to show that no matter how small, every living thing plays a big role in nature.

Jessica shares, “I hope people realize how precious our environment is. From a ladybug to a bee flying around pollinating plants, every little thing is important to life itself”.
