Access to Taxis Downtown Gets Easier

By Jordan Mecca

The Athens-Clarke County Board of Commissioners is in the middle of reviewing a taxi cab ordinance. In it you can find these regulations and more: converting downtown loading stations into taxi cab stations from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., making meters in taxis viewable to the passenger, and making fares based around county-wide zones. You can click here to view the ordinance.

The Board of Commissioners will continue working on these regulations. You can expect approval before summer 2016.
