Angel Tree Program Deadline on Friday

Friday is the last day for families to sign up for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which provides gifts for children whose families can’t afford them. The Salvation Army will take gift donations from people who want to help and give them to children who are signed up for the program.
People can donate gifts at any time. Go to the local Salvation Army on 484 Hawthorne Avenue to apply for the program, and you will need to bring the following things:

  • Valid photo I.D.
  • Social Security card or proof of tax I.D. number for parent/guardian
  • Proof of residence
  • Proof of need
  • Birth certificate or Social Security cards for all children being registered
  • Official custody papers if applicant is not biological parent
