Athens, GA – Carter Greene is Athens Clarke County’s new interim police chief for the next few months until the permanent chief is named. Alan Reddish, the manager of the unified government of Athens Clarke County says “in the next few weeks, the position will be officially announced as vacant, a formal assessment center will be held and then the decision will be carefully made after that.”
