Big Senior Night for Jefferson City Football

Jefferson City continues its perfect season after its big night on Senior night this past Friday. The Jefferson City Dragons beat the Oconee County Warriors 28-16. The game began with a 64 yard kick return back to the house by Jefferson City’s Sammy Williams. The big plays continued as late in the first quarter, Quarteback Evan Shirreffs connected with Dalton Hill on a 97-yard completion. The early momentum led to a 14-3 half time score and the Dragons never looked back. The Dragons ended up pulling out a 28-16 victory at Memorial Stadium. The Dragons Head Coach Ben Hall believed the team played a bit slower than he preferred in the fourth quarter and said the team will need a complete 4-quarter effort in their upcoming matchup for the Region championship with Hart County. Hart County will host the Dragons as the two undefeated teams face-off for the Region 8-AAA title. Both teams are ranked top ten in the division going into the game. Jefferson City celebrated over 50 student-athletes as well for Senior Night.
