Witness: No injuries, car seriously damage after collision

Athens, Ga (Grady NewSource) – A car was seriously damaged Tuesday morning after colliding with an Athens Transit bus on South Milledge, a witness tells Grady NewSource.

Around 10 a.m., the black sports utility vehicle, driven by what has only been described as a young woman, collided with an Athens Transit bus near Macon Highway, according to Bob Kobylus. Kobylus, who is a medical technician with North Georgia Medical Transport, was first on-scene.

“We  also checked the passengers on the bus and they said they weren’t injured,” says Kobylus.

The roadway was shutdown while Georgia State Patrol investigated the crash.

Athens Transit had no comment on the crash and the Georgia State Patrol were unreachable.
