It’s only one day until election day and the national election polls are getting closer.
Here in Athens supporters of both candidates are becoming frustrated because their signs have either been stolen or vandalized.
Andrew Clyde, the Owner and CEO of Clyde’s Armory, has had 28 of the 50 Trump-Pence signs he purchased either stolen or vandalized. The Navy Commander says it’s frustrating that he fought for others’ rights and now they are impeding his.
Warren Blackmon, an Independent, who put up signs on his property next to Mama’s Boy on Oak Street also had “at least 20” of his Trump-Pence signs vandalized or stolen. He pressed charges against one man who was caught stealing his signs.
A Hillary Clinton supporter from Jackson county had a similar issue. Fonda Feliks purchased a Clinton-Kaine sign and she witnessed someone trying to steal it. She stopped that incident but later her sign was replaced with a Trump sign.
