Two votes…changed Dan Matthews political life. Dan Matthews defeated Mark Melvin in the run off election for the Post five seat yesterday.

This was Matthews’ fourth attempt to secure a seat on the Council. He says his goals for the city consist of simple improvements.

“Simple things like recycling bins in Harris Shoals Parks, more sidewalks, bike paths….members of the Watkinsville City Council and learning from them.” – Dan Matthews

Matthews will join the Watkinsville City Council in January.
