Could UGA have Gender-Inclusive Housing Soon?

Athens, Ga.– Georgia State University announced that male and female students will be allowed to share a dorm room this fall. The university says gender-inclusive housing came after a decade of request form siblings, opposite-sex friends, and LGBT students wanting to live together. UGA’s LGBT Resource Center says that having this option would allow students who identify as transgender to have amore comfortable living environment. As of right now, UGA has no plans to allow students of the opposite sex to share a living space together.
