Danielsville, GA- Ivie Funeral Home now has a crematorium. Judge Boswell approved the order on March 9th. The funeral home had filed against Anthony Dove, chairman of the board of commissioners in Madison County and Eddie Pritchett who at the time was the chief building inspector of Madison County, Georgia.

Ivie Funeral Home was originally a church and sits in front of the neighborhood off of 29. It was later rezoned as a funeral home and last last year the funeral home acquired a permit for a crematorium and had it installed.

The commission advised Pritchett to not issue the final certificate of occupancy so that the crematorium could be in operation. Now that the proposed order has been passed Ivie funeral home is doing cremations.
