Don’t Let the Cold Kill Your Car

With a high of twenty-six degrees and a low of five, it’s hard to believe we’re in Athens, GA. Tonight, the wind chill could drop the temperature to below zero, setting records for this time of the year.

Here are five tips AAA says you need to do in the morning for your car:

  • Keep your gas tank at least half full
  • Make sure you have the proper amount of anti-freeze
  • Warm up vehicle at least 5-10 minutes before you leave
  • No cruise control
  • Be aware of black ice while you’re walking or driving
