This event has been in the works for months and it’s UGA’s first university-wide celebration of the International Day for Monuments and Sites.

“The goal is to raise attention to the idea that sports is an important part of the heritage of the university,” said one of the organizers of the event, James Reap, “Sports has had a lot to do with shaping physically the campus and creating that kind of spirit among students, athletes and the community as a whole.”

Grady Newsource will Periscope the event at 4 p.m. You can watch the stream by finding @GradyNewsource on Twitter.
