Fear Not, Oglethorpe County! Your Officials are Prepared for Bad Weather

Copious amounts of rain are something that local officials get used to this time of year. In Oglethorpe county, officials have a system that keeps people safe on some of their more rural roads.

One problematic area is the Goose Pond area along the Broad river. Goose Pond consists of dirt roads and with its detachment from town, help delays are possible.

At this time, most dirt roads are blocked off and barriers have been put around low-bearing roads.
