The search continued Wednesday morning as crews continue to search for missing teen Justin Gaines. Both the Department of Natural Resources and the Walton County Sheriff’s department were on hand.
Both the Gwinnett County and Walton County Sheriff’s departments were on scene this morning.
Well number one that is being searched. Sheriff says all wells are old ‘board wells,’ meaning they were hand-dug.

“I’ve never seen a case like this,” says Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Jones. Says there are so many people involved that it’s unusual no one has talked after eight years.
This hill leads up from the waterway to the location of well number two. Crews had to clear pathways for investigators to access search areas.
