Kelly Gissendaner Execution Postponed

Kelly Gissendaner’s execution was scheduled for Monday night and was postponed after the lethal injection drugs were deemed “cloudy.”  Gissendaner was set to be executed for plotting the murder of her husband, although she did not pull the trigger.

Another inmate that was set to be executed, Brian Keith Terrell, was also granted a stay. Terrell was convicted in the 1992 killing of a 70-year-old man in Newton County.
