ATHENS, GA- Grocery stores in the Athens area are staying open for now. However, they are still trying to determine what their hours will be for the remainder of the day as well as tomorrow.
Trader Joes on Epps Bridge says they will likely be closing tonight at their normal hour (9 pm), but it depends on the weather. They will also decide what time to operate tomorrow depending on the roads in the morning.
As for Publix on Barnett Shoals says their corporate offices have not informed them of whether or not they will be closing early. For the time being they will close at 11 pm.
Bell’s Food Store says they will also be closing at their normal hour of 9 o’clock pm, unless the road conditions change dramatically.
Kroger will remain open 24/7 as usual.
