Mark Richt, No. 8 Georgia Move Focus to No. 13 Alabama

After No. 8 Georgia’s 48-6 victory over Southern University, head coach Mark Richt’s focus quickly switched to this week’s match up against No. 13 Alabama.

The Bulldogs will face the Crimson Tide on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Sanford Stadium in the teams first meeting since 2012. Georgia fell to Alabama in the Southeastern Conference Championship in Atlanta 32-28 when Georgia came up four yards short of the end zone as time ran out. Georgia last played Alabama in the regular season in 2008 when the Bulldogs were handed a 41-30 loss in Sanford.

This will be the last time the Bulldogs play Alabama in Athens until at least 2026. Georgia is scheduled to play Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2020.
