Athens-Clarke County Approves Additional Funds for TSPLOST Budget
Athens Clarke County approved $5-6 million dollars for the TSPLOST budget. Georgia law allows communities to use the Transportation Special Purpose Local Sales Tax (TSPLOST) for transportation purposes if approved by voters. Officials Announce Emergency Road Closure at Brooklyn Road
Brooklyn Road between Hawthorne Extension and Oglethorpe Avenue will be closed until March 2 for an emergency culvert repair. A culvert is an open drain under the roadway which takes extensive time to repair. Please seek alternative routes as the repairs are underway.
