Reward Offered for Westside Peeping Tom

Police are offering a $1000 reward for any information that will lead to the arrest of the Westside peeping Tom. He has been linked to five peeping tom and indecent exposure incidents in Athens in the last two months. That doesn’t include the times he may not have been seen.

Windows like this one have been peered into here at Westside Heights and at houses off Westchester Dr. The Westide Peeping Tom has been caught doing this but he’s also done something else a little more vulgar: masturbating.

Major Clarence Holeman said that the police need to get this person off the streets before he actually commits a violent crime.

According to the property manager at Westside Heights the residents are extremely paranoid after hearing about the peeping tom in their apartment complex. Becuase of these long breezeways, most residents have to walk by someone else’s apartment and even the slightest pause can make people feel uneasy.

The property manager here at Westside Heights wouldn’t talk on camera about the Peeping Tom situation, but she said that they’re taking precautionary measures to make sure the residents here feel more comfortable.

These measures include increased and better lighting around the complex and informing residents of security options. The police have been taking extra precautions around this area and are making this case a high priority.

Major Holeman also said that this person is considered potentially violent because he’s willing to break into people’s houses and anything can happen.

The police are doing everything they can to capture this suspect but most of their efforts can’t be disclosed because this is an ongoing investigation.
