GOP’s frontrunner Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he will not be attending the final presidential Republican debate scheduled for tonight.
This was the official statement released on his Twitter account:
Donald Trump believes the debate will not go well.
Audrey Haynes, a political science professor at the University of Georgia, believes Trump’s absence is part of a bigger political plan.
“I don’t think this is going to hurt Trump, and I think it’s all strategic. He’s utilizing Megyn Kelly and this particular spin strategically. I can almost bet that he doesn’t really like her very much, but he probably doesn’t really about what she says that much either except that he can use it,” Professor Haynes said.
