Gainesville resident Theresa Panter was just one of the many victims at the Boston Marathon bombings last week. She was just a few turns away from the finish line when the first explosion went off; her husband was waiting for her to cross the finish line.
Panter has run 56 marathons in her life including several in Boston. She said that this race in particular was unusually difficult for her, and she was not making the same times that she normally does.
Looking back, Panter says that it was a grace from God that her times were slower because her husband, a doctor in Gainesville, was able to aid the injured immediately after the explosions detonated.
