Thursday Weather Update: The Worst is Behind Us

Winter Storm Pax has made its impact in Athens, but the worst of the storm went through Wednesday evening and night.

The National Weather Service is predicting less severe weather on Thursday.  Light, scattered snow, accumulating to less than one inch, could fall throughout the day, with a higher chance in the morning.  The high will hit 41 degrees with a slight wind.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low near 28 degrees.  The chance of precipitation is low.

Despite the better conditions, it is still advised to keep off the roads if possible.  We will continue to bring you weather updates throughout the day.
