Athens, GA-  The University of Georgia is now recognizing Christian, Jewish, Islamic, and Hindu holidays on their master calendar…and it’s all because of the efforts from a few Hindu students. These students set up a petition to have their message heard, and Vice President of Public Affairs at UGA heard it. He changed the calendar as soon as he received an email from the Hindu students and heard about the petition. They said they want their main holiday of the year recognized, and he did just that.
