UGA SGA President Runs Unopposed

For the first time in 12 years the University of Georgia Student Government President candidacy is running unopposed. Johnelle Simpson and his campaign headed by VP candidate Houston Gaines and Treasurer Darby Miller are hoping for record breaking turnout, aiming for over 5,000 student votes. Reporter Zack Watson tells us why.

Their 3 main platform points are

1) campus nighttime shuttle program: picking up students on campus after late night of studying

2) Continued research and support on the development of an inclusive post secondary education: to help mentally and physically impaired persons further/ or start their college education

3) Strengthen SGA’s role as the voice of the student body to local, state and federal govt
