A student is dead tonight at the University of Georgia. UGA Police officers found 21-year-old university student Mikal Ghirmazghi dead in Russell Hall dormitory. Ghirmazghi was a student as well as a Resident Assistant at the University.
The police responded to the scene at 6:03 p.m. Grady Newsource reporters have been on the scene tonight. We will have updates as the story develops.
10:47 PM Prayer vigil for Mikal Ghirmazghi held outside of Russell Hall. Grady Newsource did not shoot the event as friends and families asked to mourn peacefully. We respected their wishes.
