Kidnapped, Shot UGA Student Tells His Story

RICHMOND HILL, Ga.-“Many of them landed inches away from me…One bullet…it could’ve broken the skin and hit my heart.  I was that close.”  UGA student Trey Collins described his close call with death for the first time with WTOC in Savannah yesterday.

Collins, 19, was kidnapped and shot multiple times while making a pizza delivery last week in Athens.  Now home and recovering from his injuries, Collins took reporter Steven Gallo through his experiences during the incident and what has happened since.

Collins was shot 4 times, and 2 bullets remain inside his body.  Doctors said he will be okay, but trying to remove them would be too dangerous.
