ATLANTA-“Are we going to win Georgia?! We’re going to. I see it. I feel it.”
After winning the South Carolina primary on Saturday, Donald Trump brought his campaign to the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on Sunday. Trump presented his platform in his usual unfiltered delivery to a standing crowd of thousands.
Take a look at excerpts of Trump’s speech, and tune in at 5pm this evening as reporter SK Bowen takes a unique look at whether there is anything Trump can say that could force his supporters to leave him.
“Our country does not win anymore. We don’t win against ISIS, we don’t win with trade, we don’t win with healthcare…We don’t win at the border with Mexico, we don’t win anywhere. But we’re gonna win, oh are we gonna win! You’re going to get so tired of winning… but I don’t care we’re gonna keep winning!”
“It (the Democratic nomination) to me looks like Hillary unless she goes to jail, which… is a possibility.”
“I think people are so tired of Barack Obama and his terrible, terrible administration.”
We should have it (the Keystone Pipeline), but we should get a piece of the action for the United States… We should get 25% of the profits or 25% of the ownership for the United States.”
“We have 179,000 illegal immigrants who are criminals.”
“That’s the way we have to negotiate for our country,” Trump declared after the lights in the auditorium went out, came back on, and then he successfully led a chant to have the lights turned back off.
“We owe $19 Trillion, we’re a debtor nation, our infrastructure is falling to pieces, our healthcare is no good.”
“We’re building a wall… Mexico is paying for the wall.”
“World’s most dishonest people, the press. They are terrible, terrible human beings.”
“The Great Wall of China, built 2,000 years ago, is 13,000 miles long… We need 1,000. It is so easy…It’s gonna work. Walls work, believe me… I want to make it nice, maybe one day they’ll name it after me.”
“I’m not angry at China that they’re ripping us off. I’m angry at our country and our politicians that we can be ripped off.”
“I want to make Apple iPhones and computers and all of the stuff, I wanna start making it in our country, not in China.”
“Radical Islamic terror is a worldwide problem.”
“We protect South Korea from the maniac in North Korea.”
“If we negotiated the price of drugs, we would save $300 Billion a year.”
“I’m not eating Oreos anymore, I promise.” (in reference to Nabisco relocating out of the country)
“We are gonna knock the hell out of ISIS.”
“The American Dream is dead, but we’re gonna make it bigger and stronger and better than ever before.”
