Athens, GA- The University of Georgia’s Police Department sent a friendly reminder to UGA students, faculty and staff this morning to remind students to be careful when moving about campus either as pedestrians, bikers or drivers. Reporter Heather Hyatt is interviewing UGA’s chief of police Jimmy Williamson to find out if this warning is a result of increased number of accidents that have occurred throughout the first six weeks of school.

Athens, GA- A new app, Cuddlr,  is growing in popularity, especially among college students. The app, similar to Tinder, lets people who are in close proximity to each other meet up to cuddle. The app’s popularity is sure to start growing among UGA students. Reporter Pauline Villanueva is speaking to someone in UGA’s Department of Marketing to find out more about the potential of this app. There will be more on this story tonight.

Jefferson, GA- Jackson County High School has its homecoming game Friday night as the team takes on rival Jefferson High School. The Jackson County Jaguars (0-3, 1-2 home) will look to spoil Jefferson’s 4-0 record and avenge last year’s loss, when Jackson County was blown out by Jefferson, 49-0. Sports anchor Krissy Robinson will have more on this matchup tonight at 5.

Athens, GA- UGA’s High School Choral Day is today. Nearly 500 high school chorus students will perform in a concert in Hugh Hodgson’s School of Music at 3:45. The event is hosted by UGA’s Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs as well as UGA’s Hodgson Singers. Reporter Russel Abad is keeping up with the day-long event and will preview tonight’s performance.

Athens, GA- Going door-to-door to try to raise money has become a thing of the past. The website gofundme.com is growing in popularity as a way for people to gain fundraising online for various activities.
