Father Says His Child’s Roommate Died Of Disease At UGA

Athens- Frank Gill, the father of the roommate of Tanzil Alam, a UGA student who passed away yesterday morning, is alleging that she died of bacterial meningitis. This has caused some concern among the students who worry that UGA may be withholding information about the cause of the student’s death. Tom Jackson, Vice President of Student Affairs, assures students that UGA would have issued an email if there was a possible outbreak of any disease.

“The implication that the university would have any reason or any desire to cover up a health problem on campus just doesn’t make any sense,” Jackson said.
